QPR fight to hang on to Taarabt as Paris St Germain launch £13.5m swoop

Premier League new boys QPR could lose star man Adel Taarabt after Paris St Germain tabled a £13.5million bid for the Morocco playmaker.
The 22-year-old was instrumental in the Hoops promotion success from the Championship scoring 19 goals in 44 outings, landing Neil Warnock’s men the title last season.
Warnock will not want to lose the former Tottenham star this summer but Taarabt may find the lure of the Qatari-rich French outfit too strong to resist.
Up and away: Paris St Germain have moved in for QPR playmaker Taarabt

It is understood PSG boss Antoine Kombouare has identified Taarabt as his top transfer target and money is no option following the recent takeover of the wealthy Qatar Investment Authority.
Last month Taarabt revealed that
Chelsea and Arsenal had been closely monitoring him, admitting he would like to test himself in the Champions League.
He told French newspaper L’Equipe:’I had contact with Arsenal and Chelsea, but it is a little muddled [difficult].
'Arsenal have not yet sold [Cesc] Fabregas, and as for Chelsea, we will see.
Hands off: QPR boss Warnock faces fight to keep hold off star man Taarabt
‘QPR will demand over £10million pounds for me, and for now, the clubs do not move too much.’
Taarabt insisted he was happy at Loftus Road, however, which could prove a potential stumbling block for PSG after he revealed he enjoys living in the capital.
He added: ‘I would like to stay in London - it is the best city in the world, and with Queens Park Rangers? Why not?’
