Former Manchester United target Adel Taarabt is subject to interest from West Bromwich Albion.
The 21-year-old has scored 15 goals in the Npower Championship this season, to leave his club Queens Park Rangers on the brink of promotion to the Barclays Premier League.
His form has attracted plenty of attention from afar, and after United opted against moving for the Moroccan, West Brom appear keen.
Whether the deal succeeds will hinge on whether the Baggies can retain their Barclays Premier League status this season, as Taarabt is unlikely to be satisfied playing another season in the Npower Championship.
Newcastle United are also interested in the midfielder, who QPR signed from Tottenham Hotspur for £1 million last summer, after an 18-month loan spell at Loftus Road.
United were rumoured to have watched Taarabt in the January transfer window, but a poor performance and an uncharacteristic outburst ended his chances of securing a move to Old Trafford.
