Neil Warnock has told talkSPORT how Adel Taarabt has changed his philosophy of football.
The 21-year-old Morocco international has been a key player forQueens Park Rangers as they stormed ten points clear at the top of the Championship table, scoring 15 times and assisting the same amount.
And Warnock has said despite warnings about the ex-Tottenham man’s temperament he couldn’t resist the challenge to integrate him into his side.
“I’ve always liked a challenge,” the QPR manager said. “I just liked his likeable rogue smile. His previous two managers had bombed him out and quite rightly so, and the other lads had said he’ll get you the sack and all these things cropped up.
“But I saw enough in one training session and I told him straight away. I said ‘I do like you son and I’m going to play you for the rest of the season. I’m going to sort something out to get you into the team.’
“I’ve changed a lot of my ideas over the last 12-20 months. I want to enjoy myself watching my team.
“When he’s in full flight like he was today there’s not a better sight. I love watching him play.”
