Chelsea Consider Move to Sign £9m Rated QPR Playmaker Adel Taarabt

Chelsea are considering a move to sign QPR’s star performer Adel Taarabt as Carlo Ancelotti looks to inject some youth into his ageing squad. The Moroccan international has been in sparkling form at the Loftus Road club and has previously been linked with interest from both Manchester United and Newcastle.
Interest from the Premier League champions comes after R’s boss Neil Warnock admitted he may not be able to keep the 21 year old at the club if a big club made their interest known. The former Lens man had a frustrating time at White Hart Lane and found footballing salvation whilst on loan at QPR and secured a permanent deal to move to West London last August.
Taarabt was named captain by Warnock and has not looked back and has been in breathtaking form netting 14 goals and assisting another dozen QPR goals to take the club top of the table. His performances have not gone unnoticed and a number of top tier club’s have sent scouts to monitor the attacking midfielder.
Chelsea are now among those interested parties and Ancelotti is reportedly preparing a move to bring the QPR man to Stamford Bridge as he looks to freshen things up at the club. Moves to build a new generation of talent have already begun with the signings of Fernando Torres and David Luiz last month and a number of other players have been linked with summer moves to the club.
A number of Chelsea’s older statesman could well be heading for a Blues exit with the likes of Florent Malouda, Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba all being linked with moves away from the club.
QPR will try to fight off advances for Taarabt but may struggle to keep the youngster from having his head turned by such interest, regardless of whether he helps his side into the top tier.
